Overview

STUDY EASY is a web-based platform designed to help international students search for universities across 190+ countries and over 9000 colleges. Developed as part of a team of seven at the University at Albany, SUNY, the project aids students in finding relevant educational institutions, complete with descriptions and images for each university.

Key Features

  • University Search Aid:

    • Provides search functionality for over 9000 colleges across 190+ countries, allowing users to find universities based on various criteria.

  • Trending Colleges:

    • Displays trending universities, helping users explore popular choices among international students.

  • Monochrome Design for Accessibility:

    • Designed with monochrome styling to aid accessibility, ensuring a user-friendly experience for all.

  • REST API Integration:

    • Integrated REST APIs to fetch and display college and country information, along with descriptions and images.

  • Collaborative Development:

    • Worked with the team to integrate all components and deploy the project after every sprint.

My Contributions

  • Implemented the entire User Interface for a seamless user experience.
  • Integrated the REST API to retrieve and display college and country details.
  • Implemented the search functionality and trending colleges display.
  • Designed and implemented a monochrome accessibility theme for the page.
  • Led the integration of team contributions and handled deployments at the end of each sprint.
